Hi Chris,

I'm running xterm from the Linux box. Yes you're right, whatever I
set it to, DISPLAY is overwritten when xterm is run and a x-server
session is started on the client. So I was setting it to a junk
value that was being overwritten anyway. Thanks for clearing that
up.

>(BTW, where can I find out about TNTlite?)

www.microimages.com - interesting site. The PC x-windows software
is *really* free. If you find out what all the parameters do -
please let me know! It has some minor bugs on screen painting when
resizing windows, but otherwise it's almost perfect, and the right
click menus can be customsed.

Lastly,
Having just finished writing my POP3/SMTP proxy for 32bit windows
I'l looking for a new project, and wonder whether I might enter
into this strange world of x-windows. There doesn't seem to be
*anything* in the way of GNU-type-license X-windows software for
windows. Do you or any other good people know of a good quide to
X-windows from a server and client development viewpoint?

Kind regards,
Tony Wells
