Previously, when I had run "make mrproper" I had followed it up with a "make xconfig" which, apparently, has problems of it's own. Running "make mrproper" before doing the cp or the "make menuconfig" appears to work. > seems like we have that situation again. So it seems. In numerous clicks of the rpms. Now, I'll just remember to run "make mrproper" prior to configuring a new set of kernel sources from RedHat. I hadn't had any problems with "make xconfig" previously. Is this also a problem introduced by a RedHat modification? Thanks to everyone for the feedback! > rday Mike -- Michael H.
