First of all, you could do a search on let's say GOOGLE. There are many
sites where 
you can find howto setup the VNC.


As you've tried to start a server, I guess they're still running.
To check type:
  ps ax | grep Xvnc

Stop them:
vncserver -kill :1

This is in my xstartup file, the lines are NOT included.
