Yes, but it won't hurt anything to leave the line in .bash_profile.

No (because you've added the java directory to your path in .bashrc), but 
again, it won't hurt anything.

Don't know--I've never used Studio ONE IDE. If it uses the standard 
"./configure - make - make install", then everything should be set up 
properly for users to access it. Why it would want to install it in /root is 
beyond me.

If you want other users to access the java SDK, you'll need to modify .bashrc 
in their home directories also.
