Okay, this one is easy. 1) Click on the "RedHat" symbol on the bottom left. 2) Click on "System Settings" 3) Click on "Add/Remove Applications" 4) Type in the root password, if you're not already logged in as root 5) Scroll to the "Development" section, second from the bottom 6) Click on the check box next to "Development Tools" 7) Click on the "Update" button
RedHat will ask for the proper CD's, and it'll install your C comiler. :) Ben ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andy Myers" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "redhat-list" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, June 24, 2003 9:43 AM Subject: how do i install a c-compiler for redhat 9 > i didnt install a c-copiler when i installed RH9, does anyone know how i do > this, as i tried adding it 9 (gcc) as a new package through the RH > add/remove applications but it required older versions of 2 rpms than the > ones i currently had > > (i am a newbie so you may have to be a bit more explicit) > > any ideas > > andy > > > -- > redhat-list mailing list > unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list > -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
