Also, have you checked the autostart folder (something like ~/.kde/Autostart, but can also be accessed from one of the menus in konquerer)?
There is nothing in that folder. I don't know where Kwrite is storing the startup info but if I could talk to the fatheaded idiot who set it up to do this, he would not feel so good for the rest of the day.
