I do not use KDE or Kmail. However, it sounds to me like a user has been created
(called apache).
try this:
egrep {username} /etc/password
See if this turns up a line with the kmail username your trying to delete. If it does
not then you just have to deal with kmail. That is something you have to do on your
own. If it does then use your usercfg panel to remove the user. It should also
disappear from the kmail.
