i have a couple of linux machines all running RH 6.1..some machines are dell
and some assembled..
On the dell machines and some assembled machines when I do a "sync" on the
command line it returns immediately..but on some of the assembled machines
whe I do a "sync" I hear hard disk activity for a while and the sync command
takes a while to return...why is this..?? Is this a hard disk or a
controller problem...
This does not happen once in a while buty the behavior is consistent..
