the main problem, as i see it, with a win-<whatever>, is that
it perpetuates one of microsoft's stupidest tendencies --
to keep loading stuff into the OS that just shouldn't be in
the OS.

for a company that made a lot of money writing and selling
operating systems, it's depressing how little they understand
about fundamental OS design.
