No particular one. Was linuxconf working before the kernel upgrade (which
should not matter) ?

Difficult to tell what is wrong if it crash so early. Have you tried in
text and graphic mode. What do you get if you do

        linuxconf --help
        linuxconf --status

If you are getting crash for every of those, this seems very strange. The
first indeed does very little. Maybe something got corrupted on your
system. What do you get if you do

        rpm -V linuxconf

Beside /etc/conf.linuxconf, are there any other files modified ? It should
not be the case. You may consider updating from a newer release from
http://www.solucorp.qc.ca/linuxconf/download.hc
