I don't have linear addressing in my lilo.conf. That's what -L (or -l)
did from reading the lilo docs. After a second look I realize they are
mutually exclusive. Anyway, I di use -L, which as I understand it is
supposed to provide lba support, and it did not help.

Again, the BIOS doesn't even see the disk, and the /boot part is the very 
first partition (5 megs) anyway.

Oh well, not that big a deal, just annoying.
