I like pine for two reasons:
1) I can ssh to home from anywhere and get speedy mail access
2) There is a severe lack of good IMAP clients, and I am heavily committed
to that technology. (I use gnome, so I can't use kmail, and Netscape is
too quirky for me)

I hate pine because it is very hard to come up with terminal key bindings
that work with pico and emacs, because pico insists ^H is backspace, and
emacs insists ^H is help... I know I could use emacs as my default editor
on pine, but the startup time is a little too much sometimes just to bang
out a quick response to an email. I also know I could remap the help key
and the backspace key in emacs, but there are a bunch of other key
bindings liek ^Ha ^Hf ^Hb.. it would take a while to get them all down
right.
