Get a humidifier. Number one on the list.
At one point, when I was on contract at Bell Labs in Naperville, we were
so strapped for space we were using carpeted office spaces for a lab.
Static was ferocious. Their solution?
A can of Cling-Free(Tm) by the door. When you came in, you spritzed
yourself. It worked, believe it or not.
That was 20 years ago. To this day, I abhor the stench of Cling-Free...
