Hi !

I installed a the RH 7.0 respin on my test machine (want to try KDE2.0)
and besides sound and faxq (as always) almost everything seems to work.
Just starting X is a problem. I have a Genoa S3 864 grafics card and
therefore use X3 (called xf86config with --preferX3), because X 4 does not
support this chipset (yet). First try with startx didn't get me far because
X neither liked my mouse, my keyboard, grafics card, resolutions,
SubSections or anything else that can be found in the config file. Finally
I found a config file created by Anaconda (what is Anaconda ?) and this
works except that I get the following error:
_FontTransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno = 111
failed to set default font path 'unix/:-1'
Fatal server error:
could not open default font 'fixed'
When reporting a problem related to a server crash, please send
the full server output, not just the last messages
X connection to :0.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown).

I commented out the FontPath entry in the config file which makes X to
start properly, but the font looks like barcode and I have a rough time
reading it. I have X3 running on RH 6.2 with the same entry and it works
fine, so I guess it is sth outside of X, but inside of RH.

Any hints how to fix that ? Thank you for your help if there is some. I
attach the complete server output as requested by X.
