That's what I thought, that's why I tried several times before doing
anything else. The 6.2 and 7.0 installers are practically identical and
I've installed 6.2 several times in various locations without running
into this problem.

I may have mistated but the first time through I clicked the entry box
and hit the "/" on the keyboard. On subsequent tries ( 6 or 8) I tried
both the keyboard and pull down menues.

Actually, (a) with 192 meg of ram on a workstation I shouldn't need
swap, (b) RH isn't supposed to require swap, (C) a portion of the disk
was unused and could have been used for swap but the installer didn't
prompt for anything. It just wouldn't go any further.

What else could it be?
