For some strange reason I am unable to login on my client. I am running
NIS. The following is what is reported in the message file.

gdm(pam_unix)[1036]: authentication failure; logname=
uid=0 euid=0 tty=:0 ruser= rhost=

login(pam_unix)[1167]: authentication failure; logname=LOGIN uid=0 euid=0
tty=tty2 ruser= rhost=

As you can see it happens whether I am logging in via gdm (init level 5)
or at the tty prompt (init level 3). The client is running 7.1 and the
host is running 6.2.

Thanks,

Avram
