In reply to your first, you can download the images and burn them as
ISOs in linux or as raw images in 'Doze.

In reply to your second, SuSE makes a limited version available for
download. If you want the full bull, buy it. The license requires they
make the _source_ freely available for all that is open sourced.
Anything else isn't required to be opened and is at the discretion of
the copyright owner. So, they are gettingalong by following the letter
(I think, I haven't actually checked exactly what it is they're doing)
of the license, not necessarily the spirit. That's why YAST isn't
disseminated all over the place: it's proprietary.

RH has been known to do similar things with some of their stuff. It's
legal according to the license, and proves that MS is lying when they
make some of the claims that they make. WP8 was available for a free
download. The source was never made available. Corel put it as part of a
default install on their linux release. They still never opened the
source, so it wasn't and isn't available. And, to disprove MICROS~1,
they never had to make WP8 open source just because it was included with
stuff that is open sourced.

But, MICROS~1 isn't required to be proven liars: everybody already knows
that.
