Hi M8

Just to add to the post.  I had the exactly same problem as you did.  I 
was told to save the smb.conf file and re-install samba it worked for 
many, I was about to do it  when everything worked fine.  All I did was 
shut everything down for a few hours came back to it, and it worked.
