I am trying to get Linux 7.3 to run on a Dell Latitude Notebook which is also running Windows NT. If I overwrite the Windows NT on my C drive (and get into trouble with my employers) it runs perfectly. When I try to install it on an external hard drive (from which I can boot and in the hope of leaving the Windows NT installation untouched) it appears to install perfectly but when I try to run it it starts OK and then freezes the whole machine. Can anyone advise?
