I'm having problems with a PC that was working great, and one day I booted it and it couldn't start swap, nor could it remount root in rw mode:
Letting it boot and checking the /dev/ tree I get this: [root@ultra8 root]# ls -l /dev/hda* brw-rw---- 1 root disk 3, 0 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda brw-rw---- 1 root disk 3, 1 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda1 brw-rw---- 1 root disk 3, 10 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda10 brw-rw---- 1 root disk 3, 11 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda11 brw-rw---- 1 root disk 3, 12 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda12 brw-rw---- 1 root disk 3, 13 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda13 brw-rw---- 1 root disk 3, 14 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda14 brw-rw---- 1 root disk 3, 15 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda15 brw-rw---- 1 root disk 3, 16 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda16 brw-rw---- 1 root disk 3, 17 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda17 brw-rw---- 1 root floppy 2, 33 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda18 brw-rw---- 1 root floppy 2, 105 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda19 brw-rw---- 1 root floppy 2, 109 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda2 brw-rw---- 1 root floppy 2, 13 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda20 brw-rw---- 1 root floppy 2, 113 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda21 brw-rw---- 1 root floppy 2, 17 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda22 brw-rw---- 1 root floppy 2, 121 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda23 brw-rw---- 1 root floppy 2, 53 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda24 brw-rw---- 1 root floppy 2, 69 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda25 brw-rw---- 1 root floppy 2, 2 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda26 brw-rw---- 1 root floppy 2, 6 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda27 brw-rw---- 1 root floppy 2, 14 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda28 brw-rw---- 1 root floppy 2, 18 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda29 brw-rw---- 1 root floppy 2, 30 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda3 brw-rw---- 1 root floppy 2, 14 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda30 brw-rw---- 1 root floppy 2, 18 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda31 brw-rw---- 1 root floppy 2, 6 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda32 brw-rw---- 1 root floppy 2, 10 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda4 brw-rw---- 1 root floppy 2, 42 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda5 brw-rw---- 1 root floppy 2, 58 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda6 brw-rw---- 1 root floppy 2, 74 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda7 brw-rw---- 1 root floppy 2, 94 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda8 brw-rw---- 1 root floppy 2, 22 abr 11 2002 /dev/hda9 Now, looking in another RH 7.3 all these devices are with group disk and not floppy, and I can't change them cause they are mounted read-only. Any idea if this is the problem and how to solve it? -- Porqué usar una base de datos relacional cualquiera, si podés usar PostgreSQL? ----------------------------------------------------------------- Martín Marqués | [EMAIL PROTECTED] Programador, Administrador, DBA | Centro de Telematica Universidad Nacional del Litoral ----------------------------------------------------------------- -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:redhat-list-request@;redhat.com?subject=unsubscribe https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
