That'd be me, and you're still wrong, sorry. > Well, I found I needed to recompile, after having tweaked a few config > changes. Ohh, I haven't been to Chicago in a while... But it would be a wasted trip, my visiting Chicago won't fix your hardware. Well, it might, but it would be an expensive service call. :) All I can offer as evidence is: http://www.tuxfan.homeip.net/rule/slinky/ Every .img file on that page contains a kernel compiled with gcc 2.96 Each compiled without error, as well as the intermediate builds while I was tweaking the config file. Never, not once, did I get a seg fault. Have you tried compiling on another machine, before condemning the compiler? - -- - -Michael pgp key: http://www.tuxfan.homeip.net:8080/gpgkey.txt Red Hat Linux 7.{2,3}|8.0 in 8M of RAM: http://www.rule-project.org/ - -- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE9x7Yen/07WoAb/SsRAqFzAJ0aQDB9LTF+GmUV0NzQAM3hujBouQCbBmsv vpzAUj2E0sJsAfgQox94bZA= =ATga -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:redhat-list-request@;redhat.com?subject=unsubscribe https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
