Gosh! Now I found out how to teach redhat-config-packages to install
from an alternative RPM-tree:
1. copy the dir "RedHat" of all CDs to a target directory
2. copy the RPM-GPG-KEY (for authentification purpose)
3. copy the .discinfo file, so that redhat-config-packages knows how to
reach all branches of the tree. AND THAT'S I'VE FORGOTTEN because it's
HIDDEN.

Well, at least now I'm happy and go luckily to bed :-)

Regards,
Arthur
