I could see the Sox throwing an offer out there to make the Yankees pay a
little extra. If somehow the Yankees decided to let him go (yeah, right),
then they have a good player at a position of need. Not like throwing a
four-year offer at Derek Jeter and then having the Yanks so, "go ahead, he's
yours."
