I'm actually not a sniper. I'm generally a Sox apologist. I have difficulty in finding fault in most of what they do.
That said, I didn't like the Valentine hiring, and, no, I don't like the trade. I think the Sox sold low on Gonzalez and Crawford. I went into this ad nauseum on Facebook. I know many of you aren't privy to that and I apologize. But I won't revisit the argument unless someone really wants to. In short, I think Gonzalez and Crawford would have found their footing eventually. These have been two exceptional years.
