If I correctly understand the situation, you are forced to use a proprietary
JVM because the free JVM available on your system are unable to run it. That's
exactly what we want to avoid.

Maybe, if you have free hard disk, you could create a chrooted system with
(for example) debian testing, so you could work to make sure DataWorkshop run
with one of the JVM provided without putting in jeopardy the stability of your
main system.



It goes against our rules to accept projects that do not run on 100% libre
system. We can legitimately do that only if I promise

that making the software running on a 100% libre system one of the
top-priority. Do we have a deal?
