Actually, that's incorrect. America/Toronto is UTC-4 until 2 Nov and UTC-5 from 2 Nov through 8 Mar, and then UTC-4 again ... you have them reversed. I should note that Remind is not doing any of these calculations; it relies completely on the C library, so unless the C library implementation is incorrect, the results should be accurate. > 2. When both time zones are on daylight saving time, the difference is 6 hours. Amsterdam reverts to standard time on 26 Oct and the difference becomes 5 hours. Then Toronto reverts to standard time on 2 Nov and the difference is 6 hours again. Toronto goes to daylight saving time on 8 Mar and the difference is 5 hours. Amsterdam goes to daylight saving time on 29 Mar and the difference is 6 hours. Once again, this misconception is because you have swapped the standard and daylight saving time UTC offsets for America/Toronto.
