Hah, my "convincing myself" usually involves something like

  $ rem -c12 | less

or in this Nov case, doing

  $ for y in {2000..2025} ; do rem -c ${y}-11-1 ; done | less

and then checking every single month because for some reason that's
easier for me than using logic/math :-P

Tangentially, is there a way to suppress the blank rows in -c format?
For experiments like this, I'll often insert

  rem ... | grep '[a-zA-Z0-9-]' | ...

to remove the padding lines and only show events/labels without the
effectively-all-blank lines of padding.
