While you are on the subject.
Make sure it is FCC type accepted for part 95 this also covers GMRS. Part 90
is business. We has some very nice people at one of our tower sites using a
nice repeater that was not type accepted for part 95 that was on GMRS. We
require that a copy of the FCC license be on every box. The FCC was at the
site on a totally unrelated problem and noted the GMRS ticket on the box. A
quick call back to his office to confirm. Well the bottom line is the system
is off the air and we lost the guys cutting the grass in trade for some
tower space.
Good luck on your GMRS repeater.
But put up a real repeater
