Gran - go direct to Com Spec. Their price is currently listed as $69.95 - and nothing on their (Com Spec's) page says anything about it being discontinued.

The $20 dollar ID board will meet FCC requirements and the ID will not be heard at the other end of the link so everyone is happy.
