Rick

The "thread" on this topic consists of Nate's post and yours. That's
hardly a thread.

Nate is a LONG term member of this list, and of the predecessor list,
and one of the most knowledgeable people on GE repeaters here.

Looking at my personal archives of just this list, I count 294 messages.
ALL but maybe 5 have been totally on topic. He's also a prolific
member on the IRLP list (Nate's a linux guru, and IRLP lives on linux).
Every single post he's made has been a contribution to the knowledge
base of both groups.

He posted the particular message you are asking about with "OT - " at
the beginning of the subject line, which, in case you don't know, means
"off topic". I think it's the first OT he's posted on this list in over a year...
I'm going to cut him a LOT of slack. If he posted a message on home
brewing of beer, I'd read it - and I think all 4300+ members of this would
too.

And your keyboard has a "Del" key if you want to avoid "OT" postings.
Until the percentage becomes a problem, I'm not going to complain.

I'm one of the moderators. W3KKC is the owner. If you have a problem,
please send him or myself an email.

And Nate - I've forwarded your note to a half dozen aviation enthusiasts,
including an individual that owns an SBD (and he's an officer of a federal
district court, wonder how he'll take the Department of Huge Stupidity
proposal?) plus groups that run one of the last (if not the last) Super
Connie and another group that runs a Ford Trimotor.
And to a few other influential folks ...
