Paul,
Go to the EMR web site and read one of Bill Sr tech notes. You will find it very interesting. Here is a link for you go directly to the web page. http://www.emrcorp.com/techinfo/1/pdf/rf_isolators(1-14).pdf Mike Mike Mullarkey K7PFJ From: Repeater-Builder@yahoogroups.com [mailto:repeater-buil...@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of Paul Kelley N1BUG Sent: Monday, July 20, 2009 5:16 AM To: Repeater-Builder@yahoogroups.com Subject: [Repeater-Builder] Isolator vs intermod panel? I guess I was lucky in my first few years as a repeater owner. Lately I have nothing but grief in many forms. (Yeah I know, welcome to the real world!) Can someone tell me in basic terms what is the difference between an isolator and an intermod suppression panel which contains an isolator? If one has a high power tube PA on a repeater, I assume he would need to use a high power isolator or intermod panel after the PA? Or would it be sufficient to use a lower power one between the solid state exciter and tube PA? Thanks... Paul N1BUG No virus found in this incoming message.
