There is one word that I have never found a satisfactory cognate in
Esperanto: Trivet.

A trivet is a sort of ceramic, metal, or wooden plate or lattice that
one places under a hot pot or dish to protect the table from heat damage.

The CEED by Benson suggests 'tripiedeto', but I don't see that as
capturing the sense of the object as it now exists.  Originally, a
'trivet' was a three legged stand to hold a cooking pot over a fire.
Now the word is also used as described above.  I'd like to find a better
word to reflect this but my cleverness has failed me.
