As I noted before, we cleared the cron job with a reboot; it wasn't what was generating the e-mails. Something else is. There are a couple of processes/threads running:

# ps -ef | grep xen
root        37    35  0 Nov20 ?        00:00:00 [xenwatch]
root        38    35  0 Nov20 ?        00:00:00 [xenbus]

(ppid 35 is "[kthread]")  Would these be safely killable?
