Hi, I've just got an answer from Red Hat support and I feel a bit disappointed, so I'm asking your experience. The other day we realized that one particular application which is shipped in RHEL 5 is pretty old, we need a more recent version, so we asked Red Hat if they could provide a proper RPM package. The support informed me that this is not possible, Red Hat does not ship "custom" packages, even if the customer is willing to have an advanced developer support contract or something like this. If we need this functionality, the only solution is to use unsupported package compiled by ourselves or 3rd party.
