I am trying to run a yum update on my CentOS 5.5 box. Everything goes
well until it tries to update perl:

Updating:

 perl x86_64

My server is running x86_64, but the only perl on it (installed during
the normal OS install) is i386 - and to top it off, it seems to think it
has it installed twice:

[r...@satch ~]# rpm -qi perl

Install this package if you want to program in Perl or enable your

system to handle Perl scripts.

Notice the same versions, but different size and slightly different
install times?

Do I have a corrupt RPM db? If so, how do I resolve this?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Kevin
