I'm looking for a tool(s) that would do: 1) OS benchmarking, i.e. how one OS does performs on specific hardware vs another hardware or newer/older OS - with some scoring system
2) OS, driver and hardware burn-in testing * for this one, I found a decent amount of tools, but I could not find all in one suite that puts them together. Currently using: CPU/Memory Testing - Mprime Disk Testing and Benchmarking - VirtualDiskTest - - IOzone - Bonnie++ Network Testing and Benchmarking - iperf - netperf Preliminary checks so far did not yield good results for decent test/benchmark/burn-in suite. I came across Passmark and Phoronix, but have mixed feeling about both of these products. Would you know of a solution for benchmarking and burn-in testing that would work on both linux and windows OS or just linux in the worst case? In the meantime, I proceed with a thought as if there is no such product and writing something to put them all together in agent/server based setup. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks -ilya
