I'm playing with SlimServer 6.1 and SoftSqueeze at the moment in anticipation of buying my real Squeezebox next month. So far things are going really well. I've ripped 8 albums using EAC to on-the-fly FLAC with tags looked up from freedb (using EAC).
My one uncertainty is cover art. I understand from what I've seen in the SlimServer help that I have 2 choices, I can either add it using the ID3 tag or I can save a cover.jpg file into each album directory. Presumeably if I use the ID3 tag then I need a suitable tagger. My preference is to add cover art as an ID3 tag. I plan to use Telcanto for SlimServer in my living room to control the system (I already bought a Dell Axim X30 just for this), I'm not sure if Telcanto supports both methods for cover art or if it requires the ID3 tag to be used (does anyone know?). If I go down the ID3 route then what do people recommend as the best software to set the cover art tag?
