Julian, I use my 802.11b enabled IPAQ to control Slim Server (if I'm not using the SB2 remote) and find that using the standard handheld SlimServer web interface a 100x100 image looks good.
I tried larger, but it really just pushes everything else off the screen and doesn't look nice. I'm not sure how the telcanto display looks, but I imagine small is good on any handheld software.
