My experience with the extraction aspect of WMA through Media Player 10 is that it has no concept of error notification. It just happily chugs ahead through badly damaged media without a care in the world.
Subsequent re-extraction through EAC and general listening to what appeared to be a perfectly extracted disc through WMP has highlighted the fact to me that WMP seems happy to rip an error ridden disc without any kind of notification to the user! There is nothing worse than sitting down with a glass of your favourite poison and some good music, only to find that you get garbled rubbish!
