Hello, Someone further up said that WMP doesn't check for errors. I found that if you switch on 'error correction' (go to options->devices and choose the drive you're using), then WMP rereads the disc if it finds errors.
I've ripped a load of CDs with WMP, and the damaged ones took ages to rip - but sounded good at the end.
