In any software comparison, it is only valid at the instant it is made. In any real competition, each side adds the best good features from the other guy's last release. So I would expect WMA Lossless to add replay gain RSN. I used to see this all the time when consulting about database packages. They'd say "I have to have Oracle because only it does XYZ" or DB2 because of ABC. These are not wise criteria for something that will have impact for years to come. What is important for the long term is the support, terms, and whether you like how the company treats you. For a large company, once they put out a couple of large developments, there is no way to change. In this space, if you have the CDs and are willing to handle them again, you are really not all that tied in. Then again, I've got under 1000 CDs. When we did 20,000, it took a lot of handling. -- Pat http://www.pfarrell.com/music/slimserver/slimsoftware.html _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
