Hello,

The condition of my CD library is pretty good so I don't expect any
substantial read errors, thus I have changed my drive's option to
"Burst Mode" in EAC as it tends to be fastest. I have well over a
thousand CD's and don't want to take forever to rip/encode each disc.

My question is do any of you have any experience using "Burst Mode"?
Do you feel it's pretty safe (in regards to getting a song to
rip/encode without drop outs in playback)?

Also, I'm not sure I understand all of the hubbub about cue sheets and
was wondering if someone could explain to me why I would need them
using FLAC? Some of my CD's are mix CD's that should have no gap
between tracks (DJ mixes, etc); if I read correctly the
Squeezebox/SlimServer plays back FLAC tracks without gaps in this case
- am I correct?

Do I need to worry about cue sheets?

Any info appreciated; cheers!
