Steve, you are GENIUS! Sent the spdofconvert script home, converted all my Yoshimi AC3s to WAV and then FLAC. Playing like a dream. I'm not sure that this is the best use of 5.1 that I've ever heard, a few too many silly gimmicks - up strum and down strum through different speakers? - but the technology is all working beautifully. Now I can look out some significant multi-channel recordings... like Dark Side of The Moon perhaps ;-)
