WAV files don't support tags, but they can have RIF WAV headers. This has been discussed in an Audiotron related thread (can't remember the subject, but there was a post to it in the past couple of days). Slimserver can, as of recently, read the rif wav headers, however EAC does not support writing these, MediaMonkey obviously does.
If you are ripping to WAV and storing, can i sugest you look at FLAC? You will half your storage requirement, half the bandwidth needed to stream to an SB2/3, double the play time of the hardware buffer in the player, FLAC files can have Ogg Vorbis comments which are very flexible, and you still maintain a lossless collection. There has been extensive discussion on FLAC recently (as always) and there is also info in the Wiki about it. Worth looking at in my opinion. -- funkstar ------------------------------------------------------------------------ funkstar's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2335 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=21378 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
