Do you realize that mp3gain changes the global gain field in the mp3
files, not just the ReplayGain tags? The problem with this is that you
can't turn it off using the ReplayGain settings in SlimServer.  I did
it the same way as you, and then later changed my mind about using
ReplayGain, so I had to    reset the mp3gain settings, which took a
while. Once you do this, you can then turn ReplayGain on or off in
SlimServer :)
