Tom - fair comment re Slimserver :P Thanks both, for the tip on Audacity - I'll give it a try and see what it's like. I've got a fairly old version of EasyCD + DVD creator. I've not checked whether it has an audio editor - I rarely use it, as I don't often burn stuff to disc; but will check that out, too.
