Errmmm....do you know where you are? The support forum for a large,
successful open source software project. A good number of the regular
posters on this forum own copyrights on parts of slimserver or
associated applications, and an even larger number are developers for
other projects/in other capacities. I'd say there are probably a very
large number of copyright holders here.

Why are you interested in the music I've downloaded from the Live Music
Archive (http://www.archive.org/details/etree)? Or the music I make
myself? Oh you mean music for which the copyright owner has exercised
their right to charge per copy? That's an important distinction. 

Balancing the rights of listeners to use the music they purchase as
they see fit and the rights of musicians to get paid for their work is
indeed a difficult problem. DRM isn't the answer, for so many reasons.
