As this thread is entitled "Flac2mp3 Windows help for non-programmers" I
suggest you forget about subversion and instead download v0.3.0rc1 from
here:

http://robinbowes.com/download/flac2mp3/

UPGRADE WARNING:

This version uses a new way to determine whether or not to transcode the
flac file (it stores the MD5 checksum from the flac file in a tag in the
mp3 file). If you have already used flac2mp3 to create an mp3 copy of
your flac library then the first time you use v0.3.0 you should use the
"--tagsonly" option to update the tags (including the md5 tag) in all
your files

e.g.

flac2mp3.pl --tagsonly d:\flacs c:\mp3

If you do not do this, flac2mp3 will begin to transcode all your files
again - not the end of the world, but potentially time-consuming!

Look here:

I use "--preset standard", which is equivalent to "-V 2 --vbr-new"

Although, as I use flac2mp3 mainly for my iPod, I may change that to
"--preset fast medium".
