Yes, I searched the forum and there are a few topics about this that I read. Yes, I read the instructions for Slimserver on Linux. All to no avail.
I simply want to get m4a files working and playable on Slimserver. I edited the convert.conf file located in /etc/slimserver/ per the instructions, but that didn't seem to help as I keep getting this error: Required binary was not found: [alac] $FILE$ | [flac] -cs --totally-silent --compression-level-0 --endian big --sign signed --channels 2 --bps 16 --sample-rate 44100 - I think the main problem is that I am complete noob to Slimserver, fairly new to Ubuntu, and have no idea what the syntax for the encoders is. Do I create my own convert file, do I use theirs? Do I add the lines in the instructions exactly or are there changes that should be made? I am sorry to be so noobish about this, but I desperately want to get this working. Any help would be much appreciated. -- xitdedragon ------------------------------------------------------------------------ xitdedragon's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13127 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=38310 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
