I switched my server over to use faad.

sudo apt-get install mplayer faad

then copy the 3 attachments to /etc/slimserver  (remove .txt
custom-convert.conf.txt and custom-types.conf.txt)  (will require sudo
:)

Then restart slimserver with:
sudo /etc/init.d/slimserver restart

This will enable AACplus and AAC support.
